Many of the paintings on sale at The Pierrepoint are framed by us. Over the years our framing has been highly praised for its suitability to each individual piece of art and the way that the painting remains the priority. The frame should allow the eye to focus on the painting, to hold it together. It should assist and enhance and not compete. Only after appreciating the painting should the frame be noticed. The quality paintings we sell deserve a quality frame. Most of our frames are hand-finished with gesso and several coats of paint.

All paintings sold are framed unless otherwise stated or negotiated. Any frame can be changed if you have a strong preference for an alternative.

We do occasionally frame work for customers so if you have a special item that needs The Pierrepoint ‘touch’ then call us. We also undertake some cleaning and restoration work on oil paintings.
